The Experience

Planned like a production.
Felt like a party.

Five steps between “is our date open?” and the best night of your year. Here’s exactly how it works, and what you get at each one.

01

Check your date

A two-minute inquiry: date, venue, rough headcount. If Mark is free he holds the date while you talk, and you usually hear back the same day with a straight answer and the real published price. A 25 percent retainer, $500 minimum, locks the date exclusively; the balance is not due until two weeks before. Prefer to text? That works too.

Same-day reply · The date is held while you decide
02

The consultation

A real conversation, not a sales call: how you want the night to feel, the moments that matter, the songs you love and the ones you never want to hear. If you have a planner, Mark talks to them directly so you are not relaying messages. Corporate clients walk through run-of-show, presenters and AV needs.

The wedding questionnaire & your song requests

Six to eight weeks out you fill in the wedding planning form, the same one every SwissMixx couple uses: processional order, announcements, dinner music, the first-dance cue, the sparkler exit, your must-play and do-not-play lists. Three weeks out you get a song request link to share with your guests. A week out the timeline comes back to you in writing, and to your photographer, so nobody is guessing when the toasts start. Every mic, every cue, every handoff has an owner before the day arrives.

Day of: the quiet hours

Mark arrives early, hours before guests, to load in, tune the system to the room, sound-check every microphone and walk the timeline with your coordinator. For destination events in McCall, Sun Valley or Stanley, travel and weather plans were locked weeks earlier. By the time the doors open, the hard work is invisible.

Early setup standard · Backup equipment on site

The night itself

Ceremony notes land cleanly. Dinner glows. Introductions sound effortless. And when the floor opens, Mark conducts it in real time: reading the room, honoring requests, protecting the do-not-play list, and building to a last song people sing all the way to the parking lot.

One person, start to finish

Destination events

Mountain venues, city standards

McCall lakesides, Sun Valley lawns, Garden Valley meadows, Stanley basecamps, some of Idaho’s best venues are far from the nearest loading dock.

Mark’s production background makes remote sites routine: generator-ready power distribution, weather contingencies, wind-checked ceremony audio and coverage engineered for open air. The drive is his problem, not yours.

Made the flow between events much smoother and it was so nice to not have to worry about it. You won’t regret booking Mark as your DJ!
